Boombox Trapezoids
In painstakingly crafted detail, the classic boombox is reimagined by Lyle and transformed through the bold use of extreme angles of incidence into something meditative, bold, and defiant. The resulting framed pieces in bespoke framed geometric shapes challenge the viewer on both what they are looking at and what they are perceiving. The framed definition of what “defines” a “photograph” steps outside “the box” and becomes both transgressive and sculptural at the same time.
